This will be an enjoyable weekend suitable for all levels of ability. Zoe will be accompanied by her husband Hugh, also a BWY teacher. Between them they have over 40 years of yoga practice, studying with many different teachers from a variety of traditions. They are particularly interested in safety in posture work and have developed a style of working with strength in asana to protect the body from stress. Zoe is a BWY Diploma Course Tutor, writes articles for Spectrum magazine and teaches around the country. Zoe and Hugh's theme for the weekend which has also been their theme for teaching at Congress and Spectrum articles is:
All things are possible, let's take the first step.
We will consider some of the more challenging asana and use our usual approach which is 'The Journey Towards.............'
Cober Hill is a large country house set within beautiful well tended grounds with views of the sea. It has a large room for yoga practice, a comfortable lounge and single or twin en-suite accommodation. All meals are vegetarian unless otherwise requested on the booking form.
Zoe Knott has practised yoga for 30 years with many different teachers from a variety of traditions. She uses a combination of these styles in her own teaching. However one of the key areas of her teaching comes from a point of safety and Zoe has developed a style of working with strength in asana to protect the body from stress. A Teacher Trainer (DCT) for the Wheel, Zoe has also taken the additional BWY modules in Pranayama and Pregnancy and provides In Service Training around Great Britain.

After three decades, Brian continues on his path of exploration and discovery. He teaches directly from his personal experience and studies and runs teacher training courses approved by Yoga Alliance UK, which is dedicated to setting and maintaining high standards of teaching yoga in Britain and Europe. Veronica originally trained with the British Wheel of Yoga, for whom she taught a number of Foundation Courses, Continuing Professional Development days on Teaching Yoga to Children and also the post-diploma module of the same name for yoga teachers. Attracted to the Satyananda Yoga tradition of Swami Satyananda and the Bihar School of Yoga, she was lucky enough to undertake a Teacher Training Course in that tradition, culminating with a month in the ashram in India in 2003.
Satyananda Yoga focuses on the whole personality, not just the physical and Veronica believes that the awareness and balance it teaches helps us to deal more effectively with our day-to-day lives.
Veronica can offer half day, full day and two-day courses on various aspects of yoga, including:-
• Conscious Ageing: This course looks at the issues around ageing and how we can live happily and healthily into old age.
• Surya Namaskara and Chandra Namaskar: These are offered as individual days or a full weekend.
• also a monthly meditation course in Middleton-in-Teesdale, usually on the first Wednesday of the month.
