A day accessible to all, not just for teachers!!! Come along and investigate your own body and how your asana works for you.

A practical exploration of different ways of thinking about the body in yoga asana, blending western anatomy, pancha kosha, the structural integration model of Ida Rolf (which aims to improve human biomechanical functioning as a whole rather than to treat particular symptoms) and some less orthodox ways of thinking about how the body works. We will explore tools for understanding and facilitating exploration and change in asana.

A Kosha is a covering of the Atman (self) of which there are five in Vedantic philosophy:
Annamaya kosha, the food sheath.
Pranamaya kosha, the energy sheath Manomaya kosha, the mind sheath
Vijnayanamaya kosha, the intellect sheath
Anandamaya kosha, the bliss sheath.
